A D'Liteful Story that Ends Sweeter Than it Starts

It all started in Plantation, Florida over 25 years ago when Susan Corsover, at the age of 31, had her first of two open-heart surgeries and began her second chance at life. Changing her lifestyle and diet wasn't easy and it wasn't something she wanted to do . . . it was something she had to do. Susan was determined to beat the odds and live a long and healthy life . . . and she has!!
Susan began exercising and eating healthier and gave up fats and sweets. But the one thing she really craved and missed was ice cream. She was able to give up many of her favorite foods but, she couldn't bear giving up ice cream.
So, she searched the country for a fat-free, cholesterol free ice cream that tasted like the creamy delicious old-fashioned dessert she craved. But, it didn't exist. Disappointed but determined, Susan did the only thing she could to do to satisfy her craving and stick to her strict and essential diet-she invented her own fat-free, cholesterol-free ice cream. And so, D'Lites was born!!!
In 1982, Susan and her husband Jerry opened the first D'Lites Emporium to offer D'Lites original fat-free, cholesterol free ice cream for sale from their store in Plantation, Florida. They added a variety of diet foods and products for people on all types of special diets and, very soon after opening had a successful store that became a South Florida craze.
D'Lites has stood the test of time because it offers friendly and honest advice and carries products designed for healthy lifestyle, rather jumping on every fad diet. Although the D'Lites Original Premium Lite Ice Cream was designed to be fat-free and cholesterol free, Susan and Jerry have created a second line of ice cream for those also concerned with consuming sugars and carbohydrates. D'Lites Premium Low-Carb Lite ice cream is just as rich, creamy and delicious as the original D'Lites Premium Ice Cream, but contains less than half the calories, and less than one third the carbs, while still being very low in fat and having no cholesterol.
Now, 25 years after Susan and Jerry opened the first D'Lites Emporium in South Florida, Beth Chatman and Cassidy Thompson have brought D'Lites Emporium to South Tampa!! Like the original D'Lites Emporium, the South Tampa location is fully stocked with a wide variety of diet foods and products for those on a variety of special diets and for those who are committed to a healthy lifestyle. The South Tampa D'Lites Emporium features D'Lites smooth and delicious soft-serve ice cream.
